Description

Soy contains minerals, vitamin B and phytic acid. Soybeans are the main protein source for livestock feed (the animal protein is then produced for human consumption). Currently, Brazil is the leading country for soybean cultivation. Soya is a versatile crop that can be used for a variety of purposes. As well as being a source of protein for livestock feed, soybeans are also used to produce soymilk, tofu and other food products. Soybean oil is also extracted from the beans and used for cooking and the production of various industrial products. Brazilian soybean production has grown steadily over the years. For the 2021/2022 crop year, soybean production in Brazil is expected to reach around 124 million metric tons. This is due to a combination of factors, including favorable weather conditions and advances in agricultural technology. The Brazilian government has also implemented policies to support the growth of the soybean industry. These policies include investment in infrastructure and research, as well as financial assistance programs for farmers.
